102.9 The Buzz Presents
Nothing More w/ Catch Your Breath, Archers and Doobie

  • Nothing More

    Nothing More

    Alternative Rock

NOTHING MORE combines the cerebral and sublime. The music Jonny Hawkins, Mark Vollelunga, Daniel Oliver, and Ben Anderson make together is primal, elemental, and even carnal. Their foundation is heady and heavy, filled with creative nuance that rewards repeated listens, while the catchy hooks always soar, intertwined in a delicious dance between accessibility and experimentation. They’ve already earned three GRAMMY nominations and two gold plaques along the journey. 2022’s SPIRITS, which produced songs like “YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT LOVE MEANS” and the Top 5 smash “TIRED OF WINNING,” indulged the outer edges of NOTHING MORE’s esoteric leanings without sacrificing melody. Two years later, CARNAL brings them full circle with focused precision. CARNAL harkens to their breakthrough 2014 self-titled set and the bombastic energy of songs like “This is the Time (Ballast),” while powerful interludes and trippy transitions anchor it all together. If SPIRTS was water, CARNAL is fire. NOTHING MORE sound biting, visceral, and in-your-face. Kerrang! named NOTHING MORE one of 22 Artists Shaping the Future of Rock, alongside Nine Inch Nails, Twenty One Pilots, and Bring Me The Horizon. And frontman Hawkins, who met guitarist Vollelunga before they were old enough to drive, appeared with Billie Joe Armstrong, Dave Grohl, and Hayley Williams in the English tastemaker’s Top 50 Greatest Rockstars in the World. Built to last, here to stay.
  • Catch Your Breath

    Catch Your Breath

    Metalcore

Catch Your Breath is a fresh, burgeoning Hard Rock band based out of Austin, Texas. Comprised of vocalist Josh, guitarist Teddy, bassist Cianan, and drummer Onell, Catch Your Breath injects a unique mix of synth soundscaping elements, imaginative production, and refined songwriting for an intense amount of emotion. The secret ingredient of their music is their relatable core. Says Teddy of the sound, "We want to mix it up with a new gen of rock... there's almost never just our instruments playing by themselves". With their hit single “Dial Tone” debuting on Sirius XM Octane radio, hitting #3 on Spotify Metal’s worldwide chart, and #7 on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs, this track gave the band the surge they’ve deserved from the start. Whether it’s a design at Hot Topic, coverage on Knotfest.com, or on tour with Falling in Reverse, fans can instantly connect with Catch Your Breath more than ever before.

  • Archers

    Archers

    Metal

Wisconsin-based band ARCHERS is a force to be reckoned with. Emerging in 2015 as the brainchild of founders Ben Koehler (guitar) and Nathanael Pulley (lead vocals), the duo laid the foundation for a dynamic musical journey. Sharing a passion for both the metalcore and pop-rock worlds, it wasn’t long before their casual creative outlet became a project that encapsulates the ups and downs of life, mental health, and relationships. With Oscar Porter (bass/vocals) and Grayson Mesarosh (drums) later joining the ranks, the members of ARCHERS continue to carve their path in the music industry on their own terms.

The turning point for ARCHERS arrived in 2020 with the release of their EP, ‘New Normal.’ Their infectious soundscapes and introspective lyrics reminiscent of scene heavy-hitters like Dayseeker and Sleep Token resonated with listeners early on in their sonic development. From then on, the band has only fine-tuned their sound with standout singles like “Bitter” and “Say This Sober.” Each song weaves a story that is both vulnerable and visceral, a juxtaposition that resonates with the band’s loyal fanbase. There is strength and power to be reclaimed in the darkest of times, and ARCHERS find the light through their punchy blend of distorted guitars and soulful vocals.

  • Doobie

    Doobie

    Alternative Rock

Doobie is a rising star who's bursted on the national scene in 2018 with his viral hits Nikki Sixx and When The Drugs Don't Work, now having amassed nearly 100 million views. Melding together influences from hip hop and rock, Doobie is an eclectic star in the making. Fast forward 2 years, over 100 headline shows and over 400 Million streams, Doobie is the next biggest artist.

Just like his music, Doobie has always stuck out. His early rock influences can be attributed to Alice In Chains, Nirvana and Metallica alongside a constant stream of hip hop. With Kurt Cobain was one of his self-professed idols, Doobie’s hip hop music echoes a grunge element reminiscent of the 90s rock scene.

Today’s hip hop scene is the perfect climate for an artist like Doobie to emerge - where rap stars have replaced the rock stars of the past. Along with being an extremely talented rapper and singer, the Ohio native also produces the majority of his own music. Moving against the grain, Doobie avoids piling up the collabs and instead keeps his work extremely personal and reflective of his life struggles, including his battle with drug addiction from a young age. Shy and quiet outside of his music, Doobie chooses to speak through his songs.
